About Rosticceria Rossi & Sons

Located at 45 S Clover St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601, Rosticceria Rossi & Sons operates as an italian deli serving Poughkeepsie in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Poughkeepsie is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Poughkeepsie follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Our family visited Poughkeepsie for the weekend. Two locals highly recommended Rossi’s deli subs. We are so glad that we listened to them; the portions are huge and ingredients are fresh, real italian quality sandwiches and entrees. We showed up before opening on accident and they let us in early. Anne was very accommodating and provided us with great service! We will definitely be back on our next trip.

Life changing. Simply life changing. I rode my motorcycle from Cincinnati for a sandwich. I wish I could pick this place up and drop it in Cincy. They just don’t do food like this in Cincy. The number 4 could stop wars!

What a great environment! The team was so dynamic and they were cranking out sandwiches! Friendly and helpful staff! I bought a few sandwiches for some coworkers and they were a huge hit. I crushed a cannoli right outside...would highly recommend!

Food: Rossi won me over because it does very different things equally well. The Sausage & Onion Pinzza was one of the best things I had there. It was loaded, but still had real crispness to it, and the house-made sausage, slow-cooked onions, provolone, fresh mozzarella, and pecorino all actually came through instead of just blending into one heavy bite. The Rossi Rabe Sandwich was just as good in a completely different way. The roasted pork shoulder, broccoli rabe, sharp provolone, brick oven mozzarella, preserved garlic, and sun-dried tomato vinaigrette gave it that perfect bitter, salty, rich balance that a sandwich like that needs. The Number Four Sandwich was another standout. Crispy chicken cutlet, prosciutto, herb pesto, fresh mozzarella, and roasted peppers is a combination that sounds like a lot, but it ate clean and felt really well put together. And the Import Mix Sandwich had that classic overstuffed Italian deli look, but every layer worked. Capicola, soppressata, mortadella, prosciutto cotto, pecorino primo sale, fresh mozzarella, olive salad, roasted peppers, and arugula is a serious sandwich, but it never felt like it was just stacked high for effect. That was the bi

I tried Rossi’s recently and the food was honestly amazing great quality and really good sandwiches. I actually run a food page and was planning to promote it, but my experience at the counter changed that. The employee (Brady) was rude and dismissive, I appreciate the quality of the food, but the service really threw me off. So disappointing
